The class was host by Chef Alex Yen, he is very friendly and his instructions also very clear. I had a very good butter cream piping lesson here. The class was very fun too. The classroom was well equipped too. Definitely will attend other classes soon!

Today attended Chef Alex Yen’s jelly art class, venue is spacious and well ventilated. Probably the school can provide some chairs while teacher is teaching theories, as standing throughout the day is slightly tiring for the elder ladies. Overall it’s a good experience and chef Alex is very experienced and friendly.

Patience, and you’ll need lots of it if you’re thinking of signing up for the sourdough bread making class! Thankfully, Chef Phyllis makes it fun in Palate Sensations – the 6 hours went by soon enough with lots of banter and stories in between, real hands-on rolling and folding of the temperamental sourdough, and sips of beer in between (if you want). Had a great time there!

I attend Ruqxana’s cooking classes every time I visit Singapore. I am in love with the ambiance of the beautiful house and garden, craving the authentic and delicious meals, every time looking forward to meeting this amazing woman (and her friendly cats)! This time a friend of mine had a birthday party at Cookery magic. It was a wonderful evening! Great food and a really gorgeous birthday cake! Cookery magic would be the best chioce if you are in love with Asian food and look for an authentic experience in cooking! Ruqxana is a culinary encyclopedia, her instructions are simple and easy to follow and even if you haven’t ever cooked anything different from boiled eggs, you will manage to prepare few delicious dishes at a time. And in addition, the food is served in hand made ceramics created by Ruqxana! She is a pottery artist as well. You can see her atelier with a real pottery wheel in the garden!

Ruqxana was an amazing host and teacher. My partner and I attended the Malay cooking class. It was our first time learning about Malay dishes such as beef rendang and sayur lodeh. The lesson is very hands-on, conducted in an outdoor kitchen. It was an afternoon well-spent with new knowledge, good food and friendly company. I hope to attend another of her classes again. Highly recommended – 10 gold stars.

First time attending a cooking class today. From the moment we entered Ruqxana’s home, we were awed by the beautiful decorations and homely ambience. The cooking lesson itself was very well organised, with all the ingredients and utensils prepared beforehand and the pacing was just nice. Ruqxana was an excellent teacher; she was very patient, gave many useful tips and her instructions were clear and easy to follow for even inexperienced people like us. We were also given the recipes to bring back to try for ourselves at home. Many thanks to Ruqxana for having us; we truly enjoyed the experience and would recommend others to try!

Always feel relaxed & happy when learning to bake & cook at ABC Cooking Studio. Ingredients are measured & you don’t need to wash up the utensils! I usually go to the Takashimaya and Funan studios for convenience. If you want to do a trial lesson, it is a lower price if a member refers you. You can only do a trial lesson once. I’m happy to refer anyone who is keen to try!

It’s a nice place for some fun, perhaps if you have some events to be held and can try to do it here . Selling points are , everything well prepared, with tutor, enjoy your own baked stuffs. And then say bye bye without clearing the mess. Price is not cheap coz they gave you all good stuffs as being a Japanese company. Good for some fun but can be too expensive for repetitive attempts.
