Super good discovery of nice western food in neighbourhood area. Since it was the first visit, it was hard to find its location. Its location is quite good right behind the bus stop so I know now. The pasta dishes are so good. Fried crispy and hotly served. Lava cake was superb. Reasonable price. Surely will be back again!

This is an unexpected Sixth Ave gem with an unassuming name, surprisingly delicious food (the meat is really top notch), and welcoming staff. I’ve been here for lunches and dinners, tried their sandwiches, salads, ribs, and more, and have gone away feeling satisfied every time. Totally worth checking out, not your ordinary “Western meal”!
Caelan Zachary
OMG this is actually the best place for western food. Pork ribs, lamb, steak, everything is amazing with great marination, sauces, just tender enough, and everything on the menu is appetising, the appetisers, drinks, mains, everything is great. The quasadilas are amazing just cheesy enough and salty at the same time. Also try the baby back ribs with thr original sauce. Atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a place to literally chill. The meats are amazing, although serivice was a little slow- prob cause they cooking it freshly. The prices were VERY reasonable. Would definitely recommend coming here if u have a craving for meat, and Im definitely coming back.

Ordered the chicken chop with peri peri sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it! A slightly spicy and refreshing change from the usual western food sauces. Chicken is skinless, well charred and a little crispy. Garden salad was fresh and had a nice light sauce, again it’s not the usual sesame dressing or thousand island. Looking forward to my next meal here!
Jovan Peh
There were a lot of interesting choices For me I personally like fried chicken and aglio olio and it’s very rare to find a western stall that sells these 2 together in affordable prices

MASIA VASI
Food and customer service is topnotch. The atmosphere is ok for mostly extroverts, but if you are someone who likes to eat with quietness, it might not really suit you. But hey, you have to try it out. Their service is highly impressive, especially when everyone working here are concern about the comfort of your food, drinks, where you sit, and if you are enjoying yourself. Highly friendly staff. Busy but always have time for you.
Daphne Tan
Food and ambience were excellent! The Wood Grilled Octopus was tender with a robust smoky flavour. The steaks were done perfectly medium rare. I loved the Gorina Ribeye (but that’s my preference for fattier cuts), though the Black Label Tenderloin was also really good with a meatier flavour than the ribeye. Agria Chips were also done very well – crispy and well seasoned. Cherry on top – the house wine 1-for-1 was surprisingly good – a flavourful Malbec that didn’t have too much tannins. Definitely on the repeat list!
Nicole Philip

The chicken and waffle tasted great and portion is honestly relatively big. Can be quite noisy at times especially if one sits on the upper level as tables are quite close together. Regardless, have came back here multiple times and enjoyed all my visits to this restaurant. Would highly recommend others to give it a go as well !

We had steak (wagyu ribeye & sirloin), fish n chips, raw oysters and momo. Steak sauces great; tried black pepper & mushroom. Both better than all western restaurants (in the same price point). Fish n chips was fabulous! Love all the sides except the sourcream can be less milky. Service crew personable & fast to respond. V cosy ambience, congruent to the neighbourhood vibe! Do try to tip for the service ‘cos no service charge and GST imposed _()_

i chanced upon this humble restaurant while looking for affordable western food. Chicken steak was tender and the pepper sauce was really good and peppery hot. I like the baked potato which they served with sour cream, bacon bits and spring onions. Not many restaurants are serving proper baked potatoes anymore. Most other places just serve you with a blob butter .

Happened to pass by and wanted to get a quick lunch and entered this restaurant without knowing anything. And to my surprise, the food are very nice and up to standard! Seriously, it’s better than other well know western restaurant. The sirloin is juicy and the fried chicken wings are very tasty. For the beef slider, the mean is a little cooked though but understand it is more suitable for children. I will be back!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
2. What is the typical price range for Western food in Singapore?
The price range for Western food varies dramatically depending on the type of establishment. For a satisfying meal at an "old-school" stall, you can expect to pay between S15. At casual family-friendly restaurants, a main course typically ranges from $40. For a more premium dining experience, such as a steakhouse or a fine dining establishment, prices can start from $50 and go well into the hundreds per person.
3. Are there any Halal-certified options for Western food?
Yes, the Western food scene in Singapore is very inclusive, and there are numerous Halal-certified options available, ranging from casual eateries to higher-end restaurants. Many popular chains and independent restaurants have obtained a Halal certification, which means their kitchens, ingredients, and preparation methods adhere to strict standards. It is always a good practice to look for the Halal certificate displayed at the restaurant or check their website to confirm their status.
4. Do I need to make a reservation for Western food restaurants?
For casual hawker stalls and coffee shops, reservations are not necessary, as seating is typically on a first-come, first-served basis. However, for most full-service restaurants, especially for dinner on weekends, making a reservation is highly recommended. It guarantees you a table and allows the restaurant to manage its seating efficiently. For fine dining establishments, reservations are often mandatory and may need to be made weeks or even months in advance.
5. What are some of the most popular types of Western dishes that Singaporeans enjoy?
Singaporeans have a broad palate for Western food. Steaks and grilled meats are a perennial favourite, often served with a choice of sides and sauces. Other popular dishes include hearty chicken cutlets, fish and chips, and various types of pasta, particularly carbonara and aglio e olio. For those seeking something more upscale, dishes like confit duck and classic French-style steaks with fries are also highly sought after.
6. What should I look for to get the best value for money when dining Western food?
To get the best value, consider the portion size, side dishes, and any ongoing promotions. Many "old-school" spots are known for their generous portions at a low price point. For restaurants, look out for set lunch menus, which often provide an excellent deal with a starter and main for a fixed price. Additionally, be sure to check for credit card promotions or dining apps that offer discounts like 1-for-1 deals, which can significantly reduce the cost of your meal.
7. Can Western food restaurants accommodate vegetarians or those with other dietary restrictions?
The availability of vegetarian and other dietary options depends on the restaurant. Most modern Western restaurants will offer at least one or two vegetarian main courses, often involving pasta, mushrooms, or a hearty salad.
For specific allergies or dietary restrictions, it is best to inform the staff in advance. While casual hawker stalls may have fewer dedicated vegetarian dishes, you can often request to omit meat from a pasta or fried rice dish.
8. What is the typical dress code for Western food restaurants in Singapore?
The dress code varies with the dining context. For casual dining at hawker stalls or coffee shops, there is no dress code. For most mid-range restaurants, a smart-casual dress code is recommended, which means you should avoid slippers, shorts, and singlets.
For fine dining establishments, a stricter dress code is usually enforced, often requiring trousers and closed-toe shoes for men and elegant attire for women. It's always wise to check the restaurant's website for specific dress code requirements.
9. Where can I find Western food, from affordable to high-end?
Western food is widely available across the island. Affordable, "old-school" Western food stalls can be found in almost any hawker centre or coffee shop in residential estates. Mid-range restaurants are plentiful in shopping malls, commercial districts, and popular dining enclaves. For a fine dining experience, you would typically look at upscale areas such as the central business district, major hotels, and premium shopping malls.
10. What are some tips for a first-timer trying out an authentic Western food restaurant?
If you are new to the restaurant experience, here are a few tips:
- Do your research: Read reviews to get an idea of the menu and the restaurant's specialities.
- Make a reservation: Always book a table, especially for dinner.
- Understand the menu: Don't be afraid to ask your server for recommendations or clarification on ingredients you're unfamiliar with.
- Pace yourself: Enjoy the experience without rushing through the meal.
- Dress appropriately: Adhere to the dress code to avoid any awkward situations.
