My husband & I stayed here back in April for our honeymoon and had such a memorable experience. Firstly, a massive shoutout to the staff of the hotel who went above and beyond for us during out stay. From helping us book tickets, to setting our room up for our honeymoon and even arranging a late checkout for us when our flight got delayed, everyone was super friendly and more than happy to help us out. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable for our 5 night stay. The pool was perfect to cool down after a hot day and the poolside staff were super lovely. Additionally, the restaurant at the hotel provided us with fantastic daily breakfast and a great option for dinner when we felt like staying in. The hotels location is also perfect as it is just a short walk away for Orchard Road and central to other main attractions. This was our third time staying in Singapore and this is our new go to hotel. We will be back. Thank you for a memorable honeymoon.

Loved our stay here. The design of the hotel, the amenities, food etc. were all great, but what really makes it stand out are the staff. Each and every one was lovely and went out of their way to help us whenever they could, from food recommendations to assisting us with a later check-out before our overnight flight, everything was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic one-night stay at The Standard Hotel Singapore to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The manager, Caleb, and restaurant staff (Gary and Jinn) went above and beyond to make our stay special. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed. The hotel itself has a stylish and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our room was modern, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing a cozy retreat in the heart of the city. We left feeling refreshed and well taken care of, and we can’t wait to return for another stay!

I arrived at the hotel around 7:30 AM after a late-night flight, as I had some time before the official check-in. To my surprise, my room was already ready, and I was able to check in early, which allowed me to rest and recover from my flight. I was also delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade. That evening, I ordered a glass of wine via room service. Although it wasn’t listed on the menu, the staff kindly came to my room to explain the available options. Their attentive service was much appreciated. For breakfast, I tried the congee on the first day and the English Breakfast on the second day—both were delicious. The restaurant recommended to me in advance also had a wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely love to return the next time I visit Singapore. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!
Rachel
We stayed here for 2 nights and we were so sad to be leaving. The staff were outstanding. Gladys and Frauzen at the front desk were so welcoming and helpful. Megan at the bar made sure we were looked after while enjoying drinks after dinner at the bar. The design and furniture is stunning and the items on display that tie to the heritage of the building was such a nice touch. Thank you for an amazing anniversary experience.
Angela Andres
Lovely place, was disappointed that we weren’t looking out to the river 😢 Very modern lighting in rooms and high ceilings as it was once a warehouse with a lot of history. Bed comfortable. Very cosy lounge where Jake the barman makes amazing cocktails, very friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Issy the breakfast server was often run off his feet but still served with a smile Breakfast was good.

We stayed in the Scarlet Hotel for just one night to be able to visit Singapore. The hotel is very well located with public transportation within few meters (subway, buses). Yes the rooms do not have windows. However, they are not small and they have their charm. It was also very calm, we didnt hear anything from the street or wherever. Beds and furnitures are of good quality. For us, the major positive point for this hotel is the staff. They are all incredibly helpful ! The hotel kept our luggage until late at night before our flight. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend 100%

Never had such friendly and attentive staff. This has truly made the stay for us. Room – we stayed in a Habitat room and it was a little tired. Could do with a refresh but comfortable, clean and good amenities.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. If you’re an Amex Platinum member, the added benefits are excellent. The service was impeccable. We had an issue with our room on the night of check-out, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently. At check-out, Rachel kindly informed us of our remaining credit through the Fine Hotels & Resorts program, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel even offers a complimentary car service within a set radius. The location is also fantastic—close to local sights and easily accessible by public transportation.

Firstly I’ll state I booked the superior double room.. it’s small but good enough for me travelling solo. I’d imagine it would driver you mad as a couple ! safe under bed. No wardrobe but I don’t normally hang anything up.. Super Aircon (although maybe to do with room size) Nice job with presentation, looks great with all the little extras set against a concrete theme.. Staff really helpful and nice.. Receptionists set the tone for your first impression of a new country , and I was impressed .. Location is great. 10 Min walk from train, 7-eleven just across the road, bar/restaurant opposite. (10 second walk )

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a warm smile and an inviting demeanor that instantly made me feel welcome. The receptionist, Twinkle, exemplified what it means to provide excellent customer service. It was evident that she genuinely cared about my partner and I and took pride in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Twinkle was not just efficient in handling the check-in process, but she also took the time to inquire about my journey and offered personalized recommendations for local attractions and dining options. It’s rare to find someone who balances professionalism with a genuine interest in guests’ experiences, but Twinkle did just that. Even when faced with a busy check-in period, she remained calm and composed, treating every guest with the same level of courtesy and attentiveness. She anticipated my needs even before I had to ask, such as providing extra towels and ensuring I had all the information I needed for a seamless stay. Throughout my time at the hotel Yan, she continued to be a friendly face. Every interaction was marked by her welcoming spirit and professionalism. This level of service not only enhanced my stay but also left a lasting positive impression of the hotel. In short, Twinkle is a gem in the hospitality industry, and her dedication to exceptional customer service deserves to be recognized. Thank you Twinkle for making my stay memorable!
Atish Jogi
My stay at Hotel Yan was perfect. My check in was swift and service when I needed an iron was super quick. The staff greets you everyday with a warm smile. I travelled here solo for a university seminar for 7 nights and stayed in a single room (bunk bed) and felt that whilst the room was a little on the smaller side it was still perfect for my needs. Bed was comfortable, shower amenities were top class too. The AC worked great at all times. I wanted to share a special thank you to Twinkle who helped me retrieve my lost jacket after I already was at the airport. Keeping it safely until a friend could pick it up the next day. I really appreciate the great service and you going above and beyond. The lady who serviced the rooms was always warm and greeted with a wide smile, she was great too! I would stay at this hotel again for sure when I come back to Singapore as it’s well located and has multiple food options surrounding it. Please note my Bidet in room 508 was not working well and may need to be serviced Thanks for a lovely stay!

Central location cleanliness food service, this hotel has everything the relaxing traveler could wish for and topped off with the friendly staff. We are planning to return for another10 days to sample yet again this amazing city.
Andrew Fung
Held my wedding here with one night stay. One waitress at the banquet really impressed us by helping with my wife’s very long dress during the march in and champagne pouring. I understand the hotel will be rejuvenated soon.
Nita Wee
Hospitality and service of the staff were great! I booked a night’s stay to celebrate my partner’s birthday. They accommodated my request for an early check in, and also provided a complimentary birthday cake. I initially requested for the cake to be delivered to the room around 5:30pm to 6pm, but they missed the time and ended up delivering it after we came back from our dinner plans instead. They were kind enough to offer a late check out to make up for it which was greatly appreciated. Location wise, it is pretty inconvenient to get around but I suppose that’s the tradeoff for a place that’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Customer Reviews:

Loft Rooms. If you want, 3-4 people can stay in one single room, because each room has 2 levels, and depending on the number of guests, they will provide one bed on each level. They don’t provide water bottles, but give one water filter which you have to fill and use for drinking water. Attached video. Bidet in the toilet is available on demand. Toilet and shower are separate, which is handy if multiple people stay in one room. However, they are both very tiny. Has one small in-house restaurant called MEMO, which has very few food and drink choices, but good quality food and drinks. Also has Breeze, which is the breakfast restaurant on Level 2. Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay, Fort Canning Park and Fort Canning MRT station, Merlion Park, Jubilee Walk are all walkable. There are great restaurants available nearby in Robertson Quay and Robertson Walk as well. In-room AI device very useful. Overall, great value for money.

I was particularly impressed by the attentiveness of the staff Cel, who consistently went above and beyond to enhance my experience. Their dedication to guest satisfaction reflects the highest standards of hospitality. Overall, my stay at Studio M was both comfortable and memorable. I highly commend the management and staff for their outstanding service and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others seeking a high-quality experience.

The service of Ms Shanthi at the reception was excellent. She was polite and proactive to assist me in filling up the details on my iPhone. She steels very fluently and knowledgeable about the facilities of the hotel! Well deserves a promotion! However, as for the room, the pillows were too flat and make it difficult to sleep and the curtain in the room was faulty couldn’t close to the end! And it’s too bright as the curtain was light in color and make it difficult to sleep as well.

My room was like a fabulous capsule that separated me from the hustle and bustle of the real world, allowing me to sleep soundly and peacefully. The mattress and pillows were just perfect and in the mornings I could help myself to as many free flat whites as I pleased. I would stay here again. Absolutely.
Pablo Velasco
Very nice little hotel! The employees were friendly and efficient and the room was clean (obviously small but not an issue for us traveling from Tokyo). Very nice places for breakfast and dinner a block or two away. Good location and nice price. Would definitely stay there again.
Doreen Jill Mistica
My sister and I had a lovely stay at Nostalgia Hotel! The staffs are very accommodating. The room was clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a short vacation. One of the best features is probably its prime location, just a stone’s throw away from Tiong Bahru Market which quickly became our favorite spot for this trip 🙂 Transportation is similarly a breeze with its nearby bus stops and train station. We’d love to be back should we find ourselves visiting Singapore again 🙂
