Nice pork katsu with really tender texture! Staff are friendly and nice too! However, their special rosu is gone by dinner time. If you want to try their special pork, will need to come during lunch time. Highly recommended!

Always a delight dining at Ma Maison Tonkatsu. The Shirakaba Rosu Katsu was delicious– tender pork with crispy breading. I especially enjoyed the Ontama Sukiyaki Sauce that came with the set.

Great Tonkatsu. A little pricey but worth it for high quality food. Also spacious and relaxing. Can see the dedication of the chef which is a nice sight especially in SG
Siow Ron
My son visited with his girlfriend and he said it beats even those he had in Japan. Well, I know I have to try with my Japanese better half & and our two children. We had the pork hire and rosu and oh mine, it was really good. The pork was tender and it did not have the usual oily aftertaste one will normally associate with tonkatsu. It’s definitely not the cheapest but do give it a try folks 😀
Jonathan Ang
Fantastic katsu. We tried 2 kinds of meat cuts – both were fantastic! The Hire cut was especially impressive – it was perfectly cooked such that it was amazingly tender and juicy despite it being a leaner cut. Your orders come with free flow rice and cabbage salad, both of which were surprisingly great! Overall a great dining experience!

5. Hajime Tonkatsu & Ramen

Chef Tan-San’s passion for Japanese cuisine led him to open Hajime Tonkatsu & Ramen. Hajime is the Japanese word for “beginning” (膘め) and the shorthand for “Hajimemashite,” which means “Nice to meet you.” It represents their idea of going back to the roots of food as well as their friendly demeanour towards all patrons. Hajime, the invention of Singapore’s First Chef of Tonkatsu, has been in the works for forty years.
While Hajime is celebrated for serving the best tonkatsu in Singapore, they also excel in their ramen offerings. Their signature tonkotsu ramen features a rich, creamy broth that has been slow-cooked for hours, bringing out deep and intense flavours. Pairing this with perfectly cooked noodles and tender chashu creates the best ramen that food lovers will appreciate.

Samson Ng
had a delightful dining experience at Hajime Tonkatsu. The food was not only delicious but also generously portioned, making it great value for the price. Each dish was well prepared and up to the expected standard, showcasing authentic flavors and attention to detail. It’s definitely a spot worth visiting.
Jolyn Loh
We had the premium pork tonkatsu (not pictured as we were too hungry) and the maze soba. Both were really delicious. The pork katsu was well fried- crispy, juicy and not greasy. The maze soba was an interesting and yummy take, served with kakiage and a deep fried egg with runny center. Service was great as well- complimentary water and tea was provided and servers also asked if we wanted additional cabbage salad for the tonkatsu. Will be back, thanks for the enjoyable meal!
