Had a lovely time with the family. Class was fun and challenging. Eric, our instructor, was amazing – took his time with demonstrations, encouraged us to get our hands dirty, guided us gently along the way, and patiently afforded us space to re-do steps with our repeated failures. Booking was easy. Venue’s pretty.

Discover Your Inner Artist at This Amazing Air-Conditioned Pottery Studio! I recently visited this amazing pottery studio, and I can’t wait to share my experience! The space is incredibly spacious and air-conditioned, so you won’t feel hot at all. It was my first time trying pottery, and the instructor was fantastic—super patient and really good at guiding me through the process. I was able to create some beautiful pieces that I’m really proud of. The collection time is about 2-3 months, and I’m already counting down the days. If you’re looking for a fun and creative activity, this is definitely the place to go!

Signed up for a basic wheel throwing class with my friend. Booking was easy, premises were easy to find and registration was smooth. There are lockers to put our belongings before the class.. our class was led by Eric, who was very warm and personable. His passion and skill towards the craft really shone through. He was also very patient and attentive, especially towards attendees who were struggling. I really enjoyed my time and had fun. I highly recommend this if you’re doing it solo, with a friend/family or even colleagues! Loved it.

The craftsmanship here at Studio Asobi is unparalleled. Their exceptional attention to detail and boundless creativity is truly remarkable. Kenneth and Huiwen, the owners, are not just talented potters but also the warmest, friendliest, and kindest hosts. Their genuine hospitality made my experience truly memorable. I highly recommend Studio Asobi for a delightful blend of exceptional pottery and wonderful people!

Huiwen and Kenneth’s expertise and warmth fostered an unforgettable experience at Studio Asobi. Their clear instruction and encouragement went beyond technical guidance, nurturing our creativity and self-awareness. My husband and I left feeling inspired and refreshed, with a beautiful piece of pottery each. Highly recommend!

We cannot be more thankful for Kenneth and Hui Wen for their hospitality, kindness and patient coaching especially for my 83+ year old mother with dementia. She has been learning pottery with me and my daughter for the past 5 months as a tri-generation student team. We spent quite some time looking for a studio who is willing to take Mum in, and make accommodations to cater to her back problems. We were rejected by many, but Studio Asobi responded to us warmly. This is a pottery studio like none other. Each visit to their lovely home studio has been thoroughly enjoyable, and felt more like friends and family gathering in a home to learn together than attending a course. Mum is really engaged body, mind and soul, and we have also learnt alot ourselves. We would not have had it any other way, and would not recommend any other studios!

Terra & Ember is nestled above a Buddhist temple which sets the scene perfectly. Alan is a patient and passionate man who guided us through our first wheel throwing experience which was both fun and meditative. This was actually gifted to us by a dear friend and I’d happily pay this forward. A really enjoyable experience.

Recently participated in a pottery workshop at your studio, and I wanted to express my appreciation for the wonderful experience. The workshop itself was well-structured, providing a good balance between instruction and hands-on practice . Their patience and clear guidance were nice, especially for a complete beginner like myself. They made the learning process fun and engaging, offering helpful tips and tricks throughout the session. We learned the fundamentals of pottery making, from wedging the clay to shaping it on the wheel. The time flew by as I became engrossed in the creative process. In short, fantastic time at this pottery workshop and feel accomplished.
Brittany “Cecil” Sim
Fun place to learn pottery! I went with my husband and we enjoyed the experience and the atmosphere of the studio. We had a great instructor and had a non-peak period timeslot for the wheel throwing class – which led to a peaceful class. We hope to go back in the future to throw more cups and cup-adjecent pieces!

Super fun experience with a special shout out to Yani that guided and helped us throughout our session. For anyone who hasn’t tried it, highly recommended to come try.

Loved the 1.5hr pottery on the wheel experience! It was really fun and they guided us all the way. Highly recommended activity.
Fauziah Abdul Jaffar
Good experience for a first timer like myself. Staff were all clear in explaining and very helpful. Will definitely come back again.
Abilash Sivalingam
Excellent place for a noob like me to dip their toes into the world of pottery. The two instructors I had were extremely helpful, teaching about the basic theory and took us step by step through the process. Given how short this lesson was (1.5 hrs), they managed to pack a lot of theory and practice in to the session. I walked away with a greater appreciation for pottery and also motivation to get better at this. You get two pieces of clay to try and make two pieces. Big enough to make a small bowl to have cereal in. I screwed up both pieces and the instructors were helpful in salvaging them (albeit by making two smaller bowls, but you can’t complain). Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to dip your toes in or just go as a fun experience with your friends or your date.

Absolutely love it here! I had an amazing experience with my instructor Sarah. She’s funny, knowledgeable, and the class was both fun and informative. It’s been my second time here, so I highly recommend for anyone looking for a beginner pottery class!
Mallorie Ng
I’ve been going to ves for a few months now, attending their beginner/extension courses. I like that Dillon brings logic to the art, and explains in detail the different techniques. You can tell that instructors teach with passion for the craft, and bring deep personal experience. The curriculum is thoughtful & well planned, and you leave the course with meaningful works. Highly recommend everyone to consider ves if you’d like to learn a new skill, and spend 2.5 hours of your time doing something both productive yet mentally restful.

Completed the wheel throwing workshop at Ves Studio with Dylan, patient and friendly instructor. All in all, it was a fantastic way to spend Sunday morning. Despite my love for wheel throwing, I had to give it up because of trigger fingers. If I were to attend again, I would attempt hand-building. Thanks Dylan.
