Health dessert for the day. Cooling and nice for the hot day! Nice to take after a short walk at Haji Lane.
Jihin
My fav açai spot so far! Love the combination of açai and mixed berries sorbet! Generous with toppings
Xin Hao
Lovely spot right in the centre of Haji Lane. Accommodating largely to tourists around the area and can be really busy especially during a super humid and hot afternoon. There are a couple of dessert stalls around the stretch but this tops it all for me with its refreshing taste and super fresh toppings. Service staff are really efficient and polite. There’s a couple of small seating area nearby, but otherwise its more of a takeaway kiosk. Menu is extensive and options are well explained, sufficient, and worth every penny I feel.

This eatery serves elicious and healthy acai bowls, one of the best in Singapore! They actually peel and slice the bananas right on the spot! I love the cashew butter drizzler, thick and creamy. Ingredients are fresh such as the crunchy granola and the fruits. Vegan options available. Must eat!

Love the vibe in the store. Humble but super cozy and welcoming. The lady was sweet and the guy was cheerful, which made the whole experience even better! The portion of acai and toppings was incredibly generous, probably the first time I couldn’t finish an acai bowl. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. Really hope they’ll open more outlets soon! ??

The acai was good!! We got a couple of small bowls but it was sufficient as a small snack for us. Would definitely return to try other flavours and sizes next time!! The cashew butter was so thicc too ?

Yummy açai bowl. Got the classic buy one get one free deal. So 2x large ones for $14.9. Ate one right away. Surprised how frozen the açai was, but still tasted nice. Got one back to the office and brought it home to have as part of dinener. Not quite as fresh but still good. Had to put it in the fridge and freezer in between meals.
Ee Lynn Ong
It is the best! Always. We have the signature shiok bowl. And the service is great even though it’s a take away. ❤️we love the Tanjong Pagar branch.

Amazing Açai spot with a view. Came here in the evening and it was such a great experience with Marina Bay view, cool breeze and light and fountain show. It can be a bit hot during the day. They serve smoothies as well. You can make your own açai bowl but adding and selecting ingredients based on your liking. Highly recommend.

Simply delicious! I ordered their L size, which comes with unlimited topping choices. Loved the coconut chia pudding! Adding coconut flakes gave it great texture and made it taste even better. The price is on the high side but I would definitely drop by once in a while for a little indulgence 🙂

5. Project Açaí

Project Açaí is one of the pioneers of Singapore’s açai scene, having started in 2015 when açai bowls were still relatively rare. Their commitment to quality shows in how they blend their açaí fresh in-store every day, despite the extra time and effort involved.
The bowls here are fruit-forward, with plenty of açaí taking centre stage rather than being diluted with fillers. Smoothies are also available if you prefer something lighter and drinkable. Every bowl is carefully assembled to look as good as it tastes, and the brand’s mobile app adds a layer of convenience with loyalty rewards and access to exclusive content. It’s a dependable go-to for consistently good açai.

Alan Hill
Very tasty DIY açaí bowl. Service was quick, all felt clean and there was a relaxed vibe. I went for the large option to get the maximum range of toppings. There’s a separate section for pet owners to go which is a good idea to make them welcome but also to keep it separate for anyone who’s not into animals.
Kenny Yap
First time having project acai, got the medium nutty bowl and enjoyed it a lot, portion is quite big. Also like that there’s such a big space to chill out. Probably what stands out amongst other acai brands is their granola.
Michael Hui
Just had dinner at Project Acai, Marine Parade, and we loved it! The environment is amazing — there’s even an indoor dining area that allows dogs, which is perfect for pet owners like us. We ordered the large size acai bowls (SGD 16 each), and the portion was generous — definitely filling even for a big appetite. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, and our dog also seemed to enjoy the place! A wonderful spot to unwind with healthy food and furry friends.

Not even exaggerating but Gaia Acai is one of the BEST acai places I have ever been to in Singapore. I stayed in the north area and sadly the acai outlet in my area is horrible (e.g. summ*r acai). I rarely travel for food unless it is really good, Gaia Acai is one of the few exceptions that I am willing to travel and truly enjoy eating. Love everything they offer on the menu, portions are generous and the texture of the acai is 10/10. The amount of drizzle is just nice, not too little nor not too much, perfect. Staffs are super professional and friendly as well. Not even paid to review this but their acai is so genuinely delicious ?.
Ng Annie
I went specially becoz of the good reviews and special mention of their pistaschio drizzle. Indeed, they were very generous with their servings. The two sweet ladies were very attentive and kind. They reminded me that I cohld enjoy stdnt discount as I went with my primary schl nephew. I hope to have chance to visit again. Honestly, I prefer their classics compared to their signatures. You got to try for yourself.
sabby kim
tried their açai n4 takeaway — it was sooo good! even after reaching home, it was still nicely frozen. everything was really well balanced, and the cookie butter was generous without being overpowering. will definitely come back again!

BestLah’s Recommendation
The perfect açai bowl looks different for everyone. Some prefer it light and functional, others want it loaded and satisfying. These recommendations should help you choose.
1. If You Want The Cleanest, Lowest-Sugar Açai
Our Pick: An Açaí Affair
An Açaí Affair is the one to go for when you want your bowl to feel genuinely “healthy dessert” instead of a sweet treat in disguise. Their halal-certified, organic, single-origin açai is blended without artificial liquids or sweeteners, which makes the base taste naturally fruity rather than syrupy. This is also one of the best options if you’re careful about refined sugar, because many of their bowls lean raw, vegan, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free without tasting bland. On top of that, the build-your-own format is genuinely flexible. You can control everything from size to toppings and drizzles, so you can keep it light and functional or make it more dessert-like without it turning overly sugary.
2. If You Want Value-For-Money And Big Portions
Our Pick: Olá Açaí
Olá Açaí is a strong choice when you want an açai bowl that’s filling enough to count as a proper snack (or even a light meal) without paying premium café prices. Their base is smooth and lightly tangy, not overly sweet, so it stays refreshing even when loaded with toppings. What makes them stand out is the portion-to-price sweet spot, especially if you’re the type who always feels short-changed by tiny bowls. Their signature bowls are also built for satisfaction: the protein-heavy options work well post-gym, while the fruit-forward bowls hit the “healthy sweets fix” craving without making you feel like you’ve just had dessert overload.
3. If You Want Unlimited Toppings And Maximum Customisation
Our Pick: The Berry Spot
The Berry Spot is the pick for indecisive eaters or anyone who treats topping choice like the main event. Their unlimited toppings concept is the real standout, especially if you like experimenting with textures (granola, chia pudding, nut butters, coconut flakes) without constantly worrying about add-on costs. The açai texture is also a major plus: it’s known for being creamy rather than icy, which makes every topping sit better on the base instead of feeling like a frozen block you’re fighting through. If you’re the kind of person who wants a bowl that feels truly “yours” every time, this is one of the most satisfying places to do it.
4. If You Want A More Indulgent Bowl That Still Feels Like A “Treat”
Our Pick: Braek Acai & Coffee
Braek is ideal when you want something that borders on dessert, rich, chewy in texture, and bold in flavour, without fully switching to cake or gelato. Their bowls feel more indulgent than the average açai spot, especially if you go for their sweeter topping combinations (think cookie-like crumbs, chocolatey add-ons, and richer drizzles). The bonus is that it’s also one of the easiest places to turn your açai run into a full pick-me-up because you can pair it with a proper coffee in the same stop. If your “healthy sweets fix” usually comes with a caffeine craving, Braek just makes the whole thing more satisfying.
Final Thoughts
Singapore’s açai bowl scene has clearly matured, offering something for everyone from purists who want minimally sweet, organic blends to those who enjoy indulgent drizzles and creative toppings. Whether you prioritise sustainability, customisation, affordability, or sheer variety, these eight spots prove that healthy desserts don’t have to be boring or restrictive.
That said, balance is everything. If you’re ever in the mood to switch things up and indulge a little, why not explore the best gelato in Singapore as well? It’s the perfect occasional treat for when you’re craving something creamy, nostalgic, and unapologetically indulgent.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
2. Is açaí actually healthy or just a sugar bomb?
It’s a bit of both. The berry itself is low in sugar and high in antioxidants, but many shops in Singapore use sweetened blends. Once you add granola, cookie butter, and honey, the calorie count can easily rival a meal. It's best to check if the base is "unsweetened."
3. Does açaí melt really fast in Singapore’s humidity?
Yes, unfortunately. Because our ambient temperature is usually around 30°C, açaí bowls can turn into "açaí soup" within 10 to 15 minutes if you’re eating outdoors. Most people prefer dining in or finding shops that use a thicker, sorbet-like consistency.
4. Is açaí vegan and gluten-free?
Generally, the açaí base is vegan. However, you have to be careful with toppings. Some granolas contain honey or butter, and many popular nut butters or biscuit crumbles contain gluten or dairy. Most local shops are quite good at labeling these now.
5. Can I replace a full meal with an açaí bowl?
Many Singaporeans do this for lunch, especially in the CBD. While it's high in fiber and healthy fats, it can be low in protein. To make it a proper meal replacement, it's a good idea to add toppings like chia seeds, nut butter, or hemp seeds.
6. What is the difference between "scooped" and "soft-serve" açaí?
Scooped açaí is usually denser and more like a traditional sorbet, often containing less air. Soft-serve açaí is processed through a machine to give it a smooth, creamy texture similar to frozen yogurt.
7. Why is "cookie butter" such a popular topping here?
Singaporeans have a collective obsession with speculoos. While it's definitely not the healthiest choice, the salty-sweet crunch of the biscuit spread provides a contrast to the earthy, tart flavor of the açaí berry.
8. Are the "superfood" toppings like bee pollen and cacao nibs worth the extra money?
These toppings are nutrient-dense, providing extra antioxidants and minerals. However, the portions served are usually quite small, so while they add great texture and a small health boost, they are often more about the "aesthetic" and crunch.
9. Can I find organic açaí in Singapore?
Yes, many specialised cafes source organic-certified açaí pulp. This is often a priority for those looking to avoid pesticides, though it usually comes with a slightly higher price tag than conventional blends.
10. Is it cheaper to make açaí bowls at home?
Significantly! You can buy frozen unsweetened açaí pulp or powder from local supermarkets. Blending it yourself with a frozen banana and some coconut water costs a fraction of the price of a store-bought bowl, though you’ll miss out on the fancy presentation.
