Dining at Shukuu Izakaya brought me back to Japan as I indulged in a fantastic Japanese feast! The Oden was a delightful start, with a savory broth and tender ingredients. The Sashimi was incredibly fresh, while the Garlic Fried Rice was flavorful and addictive. The oysters were done super well too! The Ebi Tempura was crispy perfection, and the Wasabi Octopus added a delightful kick. Will definitely go back for more!
Winfred Chong
Had dinner at Shukuu. Highly impressed with its fresh and thick-cut sashimi (salmon, yellowtail, and bluefin tuna). The comforting oden featured a rich broth and perfectly simmered ingredients, while the garlic fried rice was fragrant, fluffy, and well-seasoned. The ebi tempura stood out for its light, crispy batter and succulent prawns. A highlight was the oyster cooked in sake, blending briny sweetness with umami depth. With its balance of authenticity and skillful execution, this spot is a must-visit for lovers of Japanese cuisine.
Kai Lim
This cozy restaurant is a frequent hangout spot for me. The Tori Karaage is a must-try, crispy yet juicy on the inside. They also have an affordable Mini Don series and great-tasting alcohol. Love the flavors and the warm ambiance here.

Alessandro Queirolo
Much appreciated, a unique experience. Go prepared regarding the prices, although they don’t seem that high, it should be considered that two courses may not be enough. I recommend focusing on the dishes of the day listed above the kitchen and adding something from the menu if necessary.

Customer Reviews:
Thoo Yue Ming
Food was served hot and it made the food extremely delicious! I think the cold udon can be more firm as it was little soft, it was a great idea to have mini baguette to dip into the burnt butter with charred ebi because the burnt butter has an umami taste from the ebi and topping with fried garlic was yum! As we requested for an indoor seating, it can get abit loud and difficult to hear yourself. So if you prefer a quieter place, you may consider an outdoor seating instead. Anyway, my friends & I enjoyed the food and the excellent service from the staff! Thank you!!
Ben Sim
Constantly brilliant every time I’ve dined there . Great service , amazing food & awesome experience . Thank you for making my birthday special 🥰

Had dinner here last night with my family and everything was delicious. Never really had saki before, so the waitress helped us choose the perfect one. Even my kids enjoyed the food. High recommend.

Very happy with the food and service here! Quality is good too. But the parking and environment not so great. After parking and getting into the building to get to restaurant is complicated and the tenant mix creeps me out. A bit sleazy too. Should relocate.
Masaki Wong
Great first time Omakase experience at an G Izakaya. Food presentation was really on point and the taste is very good. Highlight of the meal is the spraying of golden flakes into the uni sushi. I liked the desert Okinawa sea salt ice cream the most.
Sarah W.Y. (QueenBee)
Fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere ❤️ Edison was simply delightful as both the chef and introducer of the food 🙂 will definitely come back for the Omakase. 🤗

Celebrated my boy’s birthday here, fine fusion Japanese dining, they were nice enough to give him a complimentary dessert and card signed by each staff. Kinda claustro tho, and parking is seriously heng/suay – go by MRT if you can.
